As a patient you have the opportunity to select a dentist who is the right fit for you, to provide the style of care you desire, in a manner that makes you feel comfortable. At Division Street Dental what sets us apart is our commitment to providing Personalized Care and Quality Results, in an environment which always puts the patient’s comfort first.
We enjoy spending extra time with our patients and have a practice model specifically setup to allow us to do so. We want to get to know you. No two people are the same – not in their personality, nor in their dental priorities and needs. What may be indicated for one patient, may not be the same for another. Our doctors take the time to listen and explain your different treatment options in as much, or as little, depth as you want so you can feel informed about your treatment choices before making any decisions. We don’t like or believe in ‘hard selling’ dentistry to our patients. We want to work with you to make an individualized plan of care with which you are comfortable with, and which makes the most sense for you. If you’re looking for the feel of a small practice, where you see the same staff each time you come in and are known and remembered by name, you’ve found it.
Drs. Otterholt and Dr. Heron are all passionate about conservative, quality dentistry. If there’s a reliable option for a less invasive procedure, we’ll suggest it. For example, caries (cavities) within enamel can be naturally re-mineralized. If you keep the area clean these cavities have the chance to absorb calcium from saliva and fluoride from fluoridated toothpastes and rinses, so they can possibly remineralize, thus avoiding the need for a filling at that time.
All our doctors value attention to detail and take great pride in their work. Our ethics guide us that ‘good enough’ is never good enough. That’s why we say our practice is ‘a family practice committed to excellence’. We respect that you only have one set of adult teeth and want to help you make that set last a lifetime.
Patient Comfort Comes First
We understand many patients experience anxiety and dental phobia when coming to the dentist. That’s why we take the time to provide all care as comfortably as possible. We have found many patients feel more safe and secure when they are kept informed about what we’re doing during their appointment. Even if you have had difficulties completing dental work in the past due to dental phobia and anxiety, we encourage you to call our office and meet our staff. We’ll make sure to thoroughly explain any care and answer all questions before getting started and always have your comfort as our top priority. We’d love to help you overcome your dental fears so you can be at ease in the dental office and feel confident that you can get dental treatment done.
