Meet Dr. Kjersten Heron

Dr. Kjersten Heron was born and raised in Mount Vernon. After graduating from high school in 2005, she attended Lewis & Clark College in Portland, OR and Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma. She graduated from the University of Washington School of Dentistry in 2013, then spent two years working at the only dental office in a rural county in Illinois. She is passionate about her ongoing education and attends monthly mentorship at the University of Washington. She and her husband, Scott, returned to Mount Vernon after welcoming their firstborn daughter in 2015. They live in Conway with their newest addition to the family, Evelyn. Dr. Heron loves to garden, throw pottery, and anything that is purple.

“I love our patients and consciously structure our practice so my time with them isn’t rushed. My team and I welcome all patients without any judgment or criticism of their oral health. My goal is to make all our patients comfortable and feel like family.”

Meet Cheryl Gifford

Cheryl Gifford has been with Division Street Dental for over 20 years and has been working in the dental industry for over 45 years. She was born and raised and Mount Vernon. She is proud to have forged lifelong relationships with several patients over the years.

“I love that our staff members truly care and make each patient feel welcomed and comfortable. We all work well together and it is a joy to be part of such a great team.”

Meet Sommer Bernard

Sommer Bernard grew up in Sudden Valley outside of Bellingham and has lived in the Skagit Valley since the end of 2019. She has been working in the dental field since 2015. She enjoys playing guitar, writing music, traveling, and surfing. Sommer is fluent in English and Spanish.

Meet Mary Crerar

Mary is a lifelong resident of the Stanwood Camano Island area. Her father was a DDS in Stanwood and she grew up in his dental clinic. She loves working at Division Street Dental because of the safe work environment and the enthusiasm and excellence with which Dr. Heron serves her patients.

Meet Michelle Vogue

Michelle was born and raised in the Skagit Valley and has been in the dental industry for over 30 years! She is proud to provide the highest quality care to the patients at Division Street Dental.

Meet Chelsea Otto

Chelsea was born in Whitefish, MT and moved to the Skagit Valley in 2019 after spending some of her childhood in California. She began working in the dental industry in 2010. She enjoys playing pool, being outdoors, and caring for her cats and houseplants.

“I love that we are a small family practice. It means so much to me to work for a doctor who pays such close attention to detail and who really values one-on-one patient care.”

Meet Diana Carrillo Betancourt

Diana was born in Mount Vernon, WA and has been a lifelong resident of Skagit Valley. Diana began her dental career at a pediatric office in 2020. She joined Dr. Heron’s team in 2021. Outside of work Diana enjoys spending time with her family. Diana is fluent in English and Spanish.
